Sturt Desert Pea was always going to find its way into our flower sticker collection.

Sturt Desert Pea is traditionally associated with deep sadness, grief and emotional hurt. It is used when emotional pain has been carried for a long time, supporting the release of that sadness and the capacity to move forward.

But this flower holds an extra special meaning for me.

The Flinders Ranges (where this flower grows in the wild) is, hands down, my favourite place on earth. I’ve been there five times now and there is something about that landscape that gets me every single time. The red dirt, the ranges, the vastness, the absolute wildness of it.

It’s also where Riki and I got engaged, so it will forever be woven into one of the most important memories of our lives.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about a flower associated with moving through deep sadness and hurt growing in such a rugged, ancient landscape.

A little reminder that even after the hardest seasons, something beautiful can still grow.

These stickers are a little meeting point between two huge parts of our world, flower essences and life on the road. Stickers and patches are such a big part of the 4WD, camping and travelling community, so I wanted to create our own collection featuring some of the flowers and essences that mean the most to us.
